Al Marhabani

The restaurant located in Jumeirah was recommended to me by a friend and is famous for the Mandi and Mazbee it serves. The place is spacious and one will find most of the Arabic speaking people dining here and is especially famous among the locals. The staff at the restaurant is courteous and serves freshly prepared food. I ordered Mazbee with chicken which was served with salad. However, the most interesting thing here is the rest room where you would find toilet seat covers which are replaced automatically after being used once, giving you a clean and fresh public restroom experience!

Jabal Lebnan Al Jadeed Restaurant

I dined at Jabal Lebnan today and was quite happy about it. Although it is difficult to find a parking nearby, I thought of experiencing the food on the recommendation of a relative. We ordered mix grill, hummus and grill chicken which was served with garlic sauce and salad. The staff was very friendly and active. I liked the food and it seemed quite famous since I observed many people taking takeaways too! The best part of the restaurant is its covered seating for families and price of carbonated drinks which to my surprise was just AED 2!

Kabab BQ

I have been to Kabab BBQ more than a couple of times and experienced the food both at lunch and dinner. The first time I ordered Seekh kabab kerhai, which is good enough for two! Along with that, I ordered chapati which reminded exactly as the same chapattis we have been eating back home. Both the selections were good and the next time we went there especially for the same kerhai! Since it was winters, the second time I went there, I also ordered gajar ka halwa, which was just okay!

Would recommend you to eat at Kabab BBQ at least once to get the desi food experience!
Happy eating!

La Brasserie - Atlantis The Palm

One fine afternoon when we were in Atlantis, we decided to have lunch at Rostang, a French restaurant.
I ordered Tarragon chicken and Lemon tart. Both tasted good. The staff was really courteous and this is one of the restaurants where one receives 5-star treatment. The overall ambiance of the restaurant was also very nice.

Was to hungry to eat, couldn't take a real close-up

Kebab Grill 44

Kebab Grill and Ming Bowl, the two restaurants probably seem to be having some joint venture. Both are found together and food from both can be ordered at the same place on the same number. I often order food from here for lunch and also dine in for dinner especially now that the weather is getting nicer!

Until now I have tried butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, Roghan Josh, Plain naan, butter naam and laccha paratha from Kebab grill while from Ming Bowl I have tried hot and sour soup, which was good, fried rice and a couple of gravies.
The staff is very polite and welcoming! Located in the Avenue Bay, it is a must to be there and enjoy your meal in the outdoor seating they have!

QD's

QD's is the very first place I have been after landing in Dubai! This was the venue we choose for a small snack cum dinner and we ordered Chicken Caesar Salad, The Ultimate Hand Burger and a cocktail. We decided to sit by the water and the place gives a breathtaking view along with the lovely view of the Dhow cruises.

Tim Hortons Middle East

One of the best place to be - especially for those from Canada! Although the prices charged in Dubai are higher than the prices charged in Canada, the taste is good. The French Vanilla and Ice-Cap are what I always opt for. Besides this, the Mixed berry with yogurt is also good! In sandwiches, I have tried Tuscan Chicken and Pesto chicken and both were good. The donuts are also good and always fresh, like it says in their tagline.

OREGANO

Craving for good Italian food? Then, Oregano is the place to be! The restaurant has very polite and efficient staff and the ambiance of the restaurant is good. After ordering, you will be served with complimentary pieces of assorted breads along with butter and their signature sauce made of green herbs and olive oil. We ordered Fusilli Carbonara con Salssicce and Risotto con Salmone. Both were good, and the quantity was good too.

YOKO SIZZLERS

A friend recommended this restaurant when I asked her to tell me about a good place for steaks. It was weekend when we headed towards Yoko Sizzlers ... it took more than 20 mins to finally get a parking, not very near the restaurant though. After the wait for the parking, we had to wait for another half-an-hour to be seated. The manager was very courteous. After being seated we ordered Yoko Special Steak and Chicken Fried Rice. The quantity of the food served is quite good and so is the taste. The sizzling brownie is a must try! However, try to avoid going to the restaurant on the weekends because it is over-crowded, it is difficult to get parking and since the restaurant is mostly visited by families, the noise of the kids crying becomes extremely irritating.

PATIALA HOUSE

Came to know about Patiala House through Zomato and we headed towards the restaurant for dinner. It was a bit difficult to find the location since it is located inside a lane. Luckily, we got the parking nearby and landed inside the restaurant. Since it was our first time, we opted for the All-in-one meal so we could try different things. Meal 1 has chicken handi, tikka and biryani. All of it was amazing! Along with the food, we were also served green raita, achaar and sliced onion. For drinks, we ordered Nimbu Pani, which was also good and refreshing! In the end, we were served Gulab Jamun, which just melted in our mouth ... loved it!

The prices are extremely reasonable and you can enjoy an Indian movie along with the meal!

IL FORNO

If you are craving for Italian food, then Il Forno is the place you should head towards! The restaurant has many branches but all of them are located in Abu Dhabi and this is the reason why I have to go all the way from Dubai to Abu Dhabi to enjoy the scrumptious food served by them. The restaurant serves various kinds of Italian food that includes pastas, pizzas and Risottos. Until now I have tried Lasagna di Pollo, Ravioli Salmon and Risotto di Pollo and all of them are amazing!

LAL QILA

Every Ramadan when Lal Qila has their special promotional offer giving 35% discount on buffet dinner, I make sure I visit the restaurant at least thrice in the month. The buffet dinner is served from 9:30 pm and because of its popularity, the restaurant is always full of people especially on weekends. Although one needs to wait for a few minutes before being seated inside the restaurant, the wait is worth the scrumptious food Lal Qila offers. The buffet includes an array of Pakistani, Arabic and Chinese food. The BBQ and all the Shahi items especially are extremely mouthwatering and delicious. Other specialities include the Cheese Naan and Shahi Kulfi! The restaurant offers a wide variety of food items and as it says, "Fit for the kings," it truly is!

Nobu - Atlantis

Planning for a rocking weekend, we thought of going to Atlantis for an exciting getaway. This is when we opted to dine at Nobu, a Japanese restaurant in Atlantis, The Palm. We had made our reservation earlier and on reaching the restaurant, we were greeted by a polite staff member and we had to wait for a few minutes before we finally got seated inside the dining area.

The ambiance was very nice with dim lights which made the entire setting extremely romantic.

We ordered Salmon tarter Caviar, Spicy seafood soup, Shrimp tempura, Rock shrimp tempura, Shrimp and lobster salad with spicy lemon dressing, Roasted duck breast with Wasabi salsa along with Orange and pineapple juice. The food was really good especially rock shrimp tempura, which was amazing! After we were done with the meal, we ordered Nobu Cheesecake and Apple Tart. Loved both!!! In the end, we ordered coffee and were given complimentary boxes of chocolates from Bateel. The young lady who served us was extremely polite and lively and did a great job!

Overall, our dining experience at Nobu was amazing!

Kitchen 6 - JW Marriott Marquis

Located in the heart of Sheikh Zayed Road, Kitchen 6 can be found inside the JW Marriot Marquis, famously known as the tallest hotel in the world! I went there for the Easter lunch. Entering Kitchen 6 gives one a luxurious feel as the interior has been done intricately and you are politely greeted and guided towards the reserved table.

Kitchen 6 serves one of the biggest international buffet in town and covers Arabic, Indian, Japanese, Lebanese, Chinese and other cuisines on different counters. I started off with the delicious Indian food before moving on towards other options and had enough but made sure to leave some space for my most desired part of a meal. The desserts counter covered various interesting ice creams, cakes and Indian mouthwatering desserts.

The meal completely mesmerized me and I would recommend you all to pay a visit too!

Memsaab Curry & Tandoor

Image: Google Images

I thoroughly enjoyed the entire episode of dining at Memsaab Curry & Tandoor. Situated in JLT, away from the crowded streets and hustle bustle of life, it was great pleasure dining at this Indian restaurant. We made our reservation an hour before reaching the restaurant and reaching there being welcomed with a personalized greeting by name was what overwhelmed me. After being seated, we were provided with the menu card and while we were deciding about the food to order, we were served with a complimentary welcome drink “Mint Lemonade” along with Namak Paray served with sour cream and green chutney. We were two, my husband and I, and therefore we ordered Balti Ghosht with Roghni Naan and Lacha Paratha, Chicken Dum Biryani … all perfectly done! In drinks we had ordered lemonade and Mango Lassi, although the lassi was quite heavy, it was deliciously tempting to be resisted. The decor of the restaurant and the ambiance is perfect for a romantic dinner even in summers and you always have the option of sitting outside where one can enjoy the beauty of the lake flowing right beside you and the view of the tall buildings around you. Amazing!
